With the Premier League coming to an end (hopefully a successful one for my sake), the transfer window for next season will subsequently start. With the World Cup taking place at the end of the year, the transfers that take place this summer might play a huge part in if they represent their country for the World Cup. I’ll go through a quick list on who I’d take to come over to play at the Emirates in a hypothetical world where Kroenke’s spent money (It’s a joke, it’s a joke, I know they spent a shit ton these past few summers). It will be one player from each team. Things to consider: Arsenal’s current needs in the squad, if I like them or hate them, have they done anything of note to Spurs, if they are an asshole, decent social media presence etc.
- Manchester City: Anybody out of the first rotation 14 of Ederson, Walker, Stones, Laporte, Dias, Cancelo, Rodri, Gundogan, De Bruyne, Silva, Mahrez, Foden, Sterling, Jesus, not Grealish. But… if I had to pick one, it has to be Phil Foden. The kid is only 21 and has solidified himself as one of the best players in the Prem bar none and can play anywhere on the front line.

2. Liverpool – same as above applies as it pertains to more than 10 players I’d take but if I had to pick one, despite me not being as high on him as others and objectively not having a great 2022, it has to be Mo Salah. The man will win the golden boot despite a horrid second half of the campaign and is a constant goal threat whenever he is on the ball. Elneny-Salah 2022

3. Chelsea: Before the season it would have been easily N’golo Kanté but he has struggled a bit for various reasons this season. Fuck it, don’t really care for any underperforming Chelsea players, give me Christian Pulisic for the vibes.

4. Spurs – nah, fuck’ em (But if I had to, I’d bring Tanguy Ndombele back from Lyon, the ULTIMATE VIBES player.

5. Manchester United – LMAO. Do I have to? I don’t care what anyone says, United didn’t get the best out of him and he is inconsistent, but Paul Pogba is world-class on his best day. Not another player like him in world football at his best, it just doesn’t come often enough. Pogba-Thomas-Ø midfield 3?

6. West Ham – the easy answer is Declan Rice but I’ll go for Manuel Lanzini just for this goal against Spurs last season to cap off a 3-3 comeback. What a legend.
7. Wolves – Pedro Neto, very easy. He’s an absolutely rapid, left-footed, 22-year-old that terrorized us last year at the Emirates. Jokes aside, in a defensive-minded squad that Wolves have built for the past few seasons, Pedro Neto has been the standout going forward with his direct wing play. There is a reason why Wolves just signed him to an extension til 2027 even though he came off a knee injury that kept him out for almost a year.

8. Brighton – Bissouma, Bissouma, Bissouma *∞

9. Crystal Palace – Patrick Vieira, if for whatever reason Mikel Arteta doesn’t work out, we need to sign this Arsenal legend up. the job he has done with Palace with the provided resources is nothing short of class.

10. Aston Villa – Jacob Ramsey from my article earlier this year:
“Interestingly enough, with the game out of hand, their bright spot from that game was 20 year old midfielder Jacob Ramsey who scored a garbage time goal against us that night. He has brought his goal tally up to 6 this season and much of that can be attributed to Gerrard introducing him to the starting XI. He is an interesting prospect in my opinion for Arsenal to be paying attention to bolster our midfield options”

11. Brentford: the collective Brentford starting XI that beat Chelsea 4:1

12. Newcastle: Allan Saint-Maximin – YKTFV

13. Leicester: Patson Daka – 27 league goals in the Austrian Bundesliga is no joke. He has struggled for playing time this season but it’s still impressive for a player that young to possess that many goals in a top European division. The kid also has a cold celebration.

14. Southampton: Mohammed Salisu – James Ward-Prowse is the easy answer cause we also need an 8 to pair with Thomas Partey but he’s probably off to Spurs so let’s get a behemoth we can build with at the back. Even though he’s mistake-prone, I wouldn’t mind working with the raw ability physically and technically at the back.

15. Everton – DCL was past Kent’s choice who was dumber and not as smart as he is now. With DCL not even breaking into Frank Lampard’s team, the clear choice is Richarlison. The man is a constant threat going forward with a sneaky amount of athleticism and physical presence that has made it to where Frank just puts him upfront to lead the lines by himself. Not sure why he doesn’t trust to put DCL up there to go along with Richarlison but that is probably why Frank is going to get relegated this season smh.

16. Burnley: Maxwel Cornet -basically just took any player that has the ability on this team to dribble the ball forward. All jokes aside, he probably doesn’t have enough to make an impact on the Arsenal XI but he has something special about him.
17. Leeds: Jesse Marsch – I’d bring him to Arsenal, fire him, and force him to replace Berhalter on the USMNT.

18. Watford: The Watford XI that beat Man United 4-1

19. Norwich: Josh Sargent – Only to have him not play in the Championship but no way he can make an Arsenal matchday squad.
